Leicester rock band The Displacements began when Andy and Nick met at Countesthorpe Community College. They recruited Andy's younger brother, James, and gigged as a 3-piece. Joe joined a year later and the band went into the studio to record the Just Another Feeling EP, which has sold over 500 copies.

The band has built up a loyal and enthusiastic fan-base, which has grown further since they played at the London Marquee in the final of the XFM Rock School Competition. Their second EP, There You Go Again, was recorded at the end of 2004 and now, the band has just completed their new EP, Frontline Hearts which has already received favourable reviews, and label attention.

The Displacements’ music is a mix of classic and new up-rocking beats. The band cite their major influences as The Who, The Strokes, The Beatles and The Libertines.
